BvS Gauntlet Assault Batman
It had been a while since we had seen a Kryptonite Batman. Last time was in The Batman, a two pack that as of this writing I currently do not own. Naturally I was excited to have more Batmen with Kyrptonite deterrents as I have unfortunately lost Lex Luthor's Kryptonite crystal bit from Superman Returns. Doesn't mean I don't have two Lex Luthor figures with Kryptonite armor. Oh well.
It sports a nice copper armor with greenish highlights which means Superman can't punch him in the gut. The copper armor is different than the grayish armor shown in the package, and I'm not entirely sure this change was great, then again Batmen with brown/copper/orange are hard to come by...not sure if that is a good thing or not. The kryptonite apple green gauntlets are reminiscent of his gauntlets in The Dark Knight Returns so that is kind of cool, then again the armored version uses similar gauntlets. Knight Glider Batman uses the same gauntlets. The legs are the same except for the leg belt that is molded on Knight Glider Batman, so we're seeing Mattel pull of a Kenner with remolded bits...nothing new. I find it interesting that he has no pupils, which is something I only see in figures with a helmet. So is this a skinny helmet or...?
The kryptonite fans fit on his hands grudgingly, but they are effective. Here we are assuming Batman know how to fight with fanblades, but he is Batman so...
He may very well know how to dance the Can Can. The black plastic cape I should have gotten used to by now, at least it flows better than deep plastic capes. The figure feels stiff but at least he's got some articulation. Should be fun for kids to beat up Superman with.
Do you bleed? You definitely will.
