DC Super Heroes Knights End Batman

DC Superheroes Knights End Batman

Az-Bats is back!

If I had gotten him back in '97 when it was released, I would have been like WOW! Nowdays I can't say I care much for him, but I think that up to the point when he was released, he was the most articulated Batman figure ever excluding Mego Batman. Sadly, the weirdly posed legs ruin him.

Either way he's awesomely detailed and an excellent representation of Azrael as Batman. He came with a different base but I got this figure loose so the base he is standing on belongs to the other Batman.

"THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!"

That's it for the big DC SuperHeroes line. Next up LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT!!!!!

DC Super Heroes The Joker

DC Superheroes The Joker

The Clown Prince of Crime is BACK several inches taller than its predecessors!

This Joker is kind of a letdown for me despite being a near perfect representation of the character. He is rather large and stands in a weird sprawled out pose that just...takes a whole bunch of space on the shelf, but I guess that's the point. He is large, flashy and dynamic. A very good representation of the character if you ask me. Neither his playing cards nor his walking stick are removable. He is also less articulated than the other figures in the line as he can only move his head, shoulders and hips. Comes with a base. Also, I really like his colors! This is the best painted Joker I've ever seen. The pictures came out kind of light due to the flash, but the wrinkles in his clothing have a darker purple wash making it a very detailed paint job. Nice job Kenner/Hasbro!

"Pick a card! Pick all the cards!!!"

The eternal duel continues.

DC Super Heroes Batman

DC Super Heroes Batman

I got this figure rather recently in a lot. They did not make it to where I used to live back in 1998. This line remains a mystery to me as I don't know if they were exclusives or what exactly the line entailed. From what I gather there was a Shazam, Superman, Superman blue and red and some wave 4 Total Justice characters such as Green Lantern Vs. Dr. Polaris. If anyone wants to shed light on that issue, be my guest. This review and the next two will focus on the Bat universe figures released for this line.

By the time I acquired this figure I can't say I was impressed. I got it for completist's sake. But I imagine that back then this figure might have been amazing since it had a bunch of points of articulation, an awesome pose, etc. I can't say he's not awesome. He really is the epitome of a classic Batman with the greys and the blues, but the posed figure doesn't make the articulation factor any better.

These figures aren't that hard to find. Oh yeah, they come with a base. I'm not sure if this is the correct base or Az-Bat's base. If anything the articulated posed figure is good for the following:
