DC Universe Infinite Heroes Crisis Series 1 Figure 11 Batman

DCU IH Figure 11 Batman

Before I begin this review, I'm just going to go ahead and say it: Plastic capes are the devil and they should be banned. With that out of the way, this is a fun little Batman in classic colors! Just like Superfriends!

The articulation in this figure doesn't really...do anything. It feels like a true Super Powers figure...except this has a swivel waist and ball jointed elbows. The proportions are a bit weird, as they have huuuge hands which are clearly meant to hold something, but they don't come with any accessories normally, so...nothing there.

p The worst thing about this figure is that it cannot stand. AND THAT'S WHERE THE EVIL PLASTIC CAPE COMES IN HANDY...it's his 3rd leg. The head sculpt is really nice though. It's a mixed bag. Not being at least 4.5 inches tall is its biggest sin, and while it is articulated, the articulation is pointless because of the way the legs are molded and because of the cape. But hey, they released a variant too! Shall we look at it?

The variant uses the same number. I don't know which one is harder to find, but I am going to assume both are equally findable by today's market standards.

I actually like this deco better. Still not the best figure, but it's still fun to have a 3.5 inch tall Batman figure in handy for...3.5 inch tall adventures or when he hangs out in Star Wars before HASBRO ALSO SCREWED THE SCALES on STAR WARS!!!! This is a long discussion, a rant I'm eventually going to write that has been coming on for a long time, but let us save that for later. I think all figures should be the same exact size. The end.

I think it is sad that out of the whole Gotham City Infinite Hero figures, this Batman is my least favorite. Luckily there is another...

...because these two don't have what it takes to save Gotham.
