Side Strike Robin

Side Strike Robin

An evil underworld of street fighters is wreaking havoc on Gotham City. Robin, Batman's most trusted ally, will need his awesome hand-to-hand combat skills to help crush this criminal crew. Robin's courage and dedication make him a crucial member of Batman's Knight Force Ninjas, the most powerful crimefighting force ever known!

I love this figure! He's so fun! He's got tons of fun accessories and man he is ANGRY!

If you haven't figured it out already, squeezing the legs will cause his waist to move right and his arm to deliver a side chop! The stand accessory has a huge button that when hit, the hidden missile launcher will release the bat shaped missile. He can strike the button with his hand or with his claw accessory.

While I'm not instantly fond of the claw/rake weapon, I love the fact that the stand actually HIDES the missile launcher. Very cool.

I just love this figure. I love the bright reds and greens, and the level of detail is pretty good. He's also got a torn and tattered uniform. He stays true to the Tim Drake Robin from the 90's comics right down to the ninja boots. And all those accessories are really cool, especially the spinny blade that pegs onto his arm. He has waist, hips, knees, elbows, shoulders and neck articulation. Note that the right arm is somewhat incapacitated by the action feature but he can still move it up and down. The left arm is more of a proper ball joint.

Did I mention that I love cloth capes?

This is a really fun, really nice figure. This line is super underrated and it's a shame because I love the designs, the figures are all durable and well executed and figures like Robin here are very worth your while.
